Green Campus Coordinatorship Established at NEVU
Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVU) has established the Green CampusCoordinatorship to oversee and manage all activities related to sustainability andenvironmental awareness. Through this new structure, environmentally friendly practices willbe expanded across all University campuses, the efficient use of natural resources will be enhanced, and a sustainable campus environment will be promoted.
In line with NEVU’s sustainability vision, the Green Campus Coordinatorship plans toundertake multidimensional initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impacts, ensuring theeffective and efficient use of resources, and creating a campus environment that respects theecological balance. Its priority areas include smoke-free campus practices, wastemanagement, energy efficiency, water conservation, the promotion of sustainabletransportation policies, the reduction of carbon emissions, and the protection of biodiversity.
In cooperation with academic units, student societies, and relevant public institutions, theCoordinatorship will plan and implement recycling initiatives, water- and energy-savingmeasures, projects to expand green spaces, and awareness-raising activities. It will alsocoordinate reporting, data collection, and monitoring processes to ensure the University’salignment with sustainability indices.
