NUDER Holds Graduation Ceremony for NEVU’s International Students
The Nevşehir International Students Association (NUDER) organised a graduation ceremonyfor international students studying at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVU) duringthe 2025–2026 academic year.
Aktekin: “Our International Students Are Our Ambassadors of Friendship”
Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, NEVU Rector Prof. Dr. Semih Aktekin stated thatapproximately 500 international students from 57 countries were studying at the Universityand that this diversity made a significant contribution to NEVU’s academic and culturalrichness.
Emphasising that international students enriched campus life and fostered a strong sense of solidarity in which different cultures coexisted, Aktekin said that Türkiye’s approach tointernational students was shaped by humanitarian values and a commitment to strengtheningcultural ties.
Aktekin noted that international students benefited from all the University’s facilities andopportunities on an equal basis with their fellow students throughout their studies. He addedthat they not only acquired academic knowledge but also learned Turkish, became closelyacquainted with Turkish culture, established lasting friendships, and developed an importantinternational network.
Stating that the graduates would serve as valuable ambassadors of friendship and contribute tothe development of scientific, cultural, and social relations between Türkiye and their homecountries, Aktekin emphasised that graduation was not an end but a new beginning andwished the students every success in their future endeavours.
Kubangazy Bugubaev, a member of the Executive Board of the Türkiye Alumni Association(TÜMED), drew attention to the importance of international students who studied in Türkiye maintaining their ties with one another and with Türkiye after graduation.
NUDER President İskender Seyfettin Çınar stated that the Association attached greatimportance to supporting the academic and social lives of international students studying in Nevşehir and carried out various activities for this purpose.
